A Long Way to Go
My knees, ankles and feet hurt from a week of living and training in the elements... Blisters, red boots, thorns and blood have become the norm...Its nice to return to a place where I can eat at a table with utensils (let-alone hot food)...I jump at any opportunity I have to read-newspapers, magazines books, essays...anything to stimulate my mind...I'm not as strong as I thought as was...You have to learn how to crawl, and crawl and crawl some more, before you can begin to even think about walking...I have a long way to go...

Hello Yoni,
I am a friend of a family from your synagogue back in Philly home. A few months ago I spoke with you mom at Ariele's suggestion since my son is planning to make Aliyah in August with the Tzofim group, Garin Tzubar. I have really appreciated your sharing your experiences and "whats in your head" so far. My son, almost 19 yo- just finished Freshman year at U Mich and has decided he wants to go to Israel now, to Army. I know you prob have hardly any spare time, but wondering if you might have a few min to talk or email with me, and I can also direct Eitan to your blog. I admire your courage and taking all these steps and wonder if any lessons learned might be beneficial for us as I look for ways to support my son and help him with timing and choices along the way. WE HEARD THAT TODAY WAS VERY SPECIAL. OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU......ROZ AND ED SNYDER
Hey Yon, I haven't heard from you in a long time. I apparently am missing one digit from your phone number so i can't call and I've tried emailing you several times. I just want to see how things are doing with you, if you are OK, how army life is, Israeli life?...I hope to hear from you soon!
Take care,
Alona
